- Job Title: Specialist Teaching Assistant
- Salary: £16,430 – £19,080 per annum
- Hours: Maximum of 30 hours per week, term time only (39 working weeks) – Permanent part-time, full time and sessional available.
- Location: East Midlands including but not limited to: Worksop, Mansfield, Ilkeston, Nottingham and Leicestershire.
R.E.A.L Education provides both independent special schools placements and market leading alternative education. We are seeking someone who has knowledge and experience of teaching in a SEN/D environment.
The successful applicant will be responsible for using a collaborative, multi-sensory and holistic approach to support and maintain a high level of learner engagement through collaborative preparation. The aim of the post holder will be to deliver an innovative, creative and flexible curriculum during sessions both on a 1:1 basis and a small group setting at a variety of sites within an agreed locality.
To be successful in this role you will have 3 years prior experience in a SEN environment, be innovative in your approach to engaging learners and have some experience of managing health and safety awareness, risk management and the safeguarding of young people. Applicants must also hold a minimum Level 4 qualification in an education, health or social care setting (e.g. relevant NVQ, PTLLs, A levels).
